CORONA
no competitions from March to July
The Lake Crossing Swim Anna Obieglo and Nate Holmes won.
Team 1 is saying goodbye to trainer Robert Gebhart and will be coached by Uwe Werkhausen from the new season onwards, Team 2 will now be coached by the Schmid family (Andrea, Alexander and Nico).
The Corona Pandemic kept the country under control. After a training ban and closure of all swimming pools from 15th March until August, some school swimming pools reopened after the summer holidays. From 15th November, a new lockdown was introduced, which brought a training ban for elite athletes into effect. Only the state squad was allowed to continue training, while all other athletes began a long waiting period with Home-Schooling, Home-Office and Online-Training. The club championships were cancelled, as well as the members' meeting with new elections.

2021

All swimming pools are still closed to the public and clubs. Only the squad is allowed in the water and to train. The long frustrating waiting came to an end on June 9th. The school pools were reopened and our performance and mass sports athletes were finally able to start. This was also the starting gun for our newly founded Team C (students and young masters). The Covid vaccination requirement was in place.
The Lake Crossing Swim on Wörthsee the corona-affected event took place for the second time without a large summer festival. Anna Obieglo and Nate Holmes won the 2.200-m race with 150 participants.

Robby Robel and Thomas Schubert take over the training of Team 1 and Team C, Christian Ruttor supports the coaching team of Team 1 and 3 with technical training / analysis.

Engineering firm Schiessl Gehlen Sodeikat GmbH, Family Schindele and other families donated a new trampoline for our club grounds on Wörthsee.
German Short Course Masters Championships in Braunschweig
Anna-Lena Maiberger became 7-time German champion (50/100/200-m-freestyle, 200-m-stroke, 50/100/200-m-backstroke).
The long wait came to an end and movement was introduced into the competition planning.
'Due to the coronavirus, the German and Bavarian Championships were moved to the autumn and additionally divided by age. At all competitions until March 2022, spectators were not allowed and vaccination was mandatory plus a daily negative coronavirus test.
Starting in November, access to swimming pools was restricted again: vaccination was mandatory and daily tests.

Johanna Berger, Maria Obieglo, Nate Holmes, Nici Kolmberger and Max Rottmann qualified. Maria and Nici came 4th in 1500-m Freestyle, Nate reached the 200-m Backstroke Final and Maria reached the 200-m Butterfly Final.
11th German Short Course Masters Championships in Essen
Hans Reichelt won "as always" with a new European and German record in 50-m Breaststroke. He also won 100-m Breaststroke and Medley.
DMSJ Qualification Meet (State Final) in Bayreuth
Our team took 3rd place with Antonio Pascali, Jakob Obieglo, Jan Schaudinn, Jonathan Frenkel and Nate Holmes after the Oberbayern Qualification Meet was cancelled due to coronavirus.

World Record No. 12 in 100-m Breaststroke in 1:42 minutes.
The planned Club Championship was cancelled 3 days before the event due to coronavirus. At the Christmas Party participants could attend with a Covid vaccination and a negative coronavirus test. Shared meals were allowed, dancing was prohibited.

German Championships Swimming Combined Events in Dortmund 2021 (11-12 years old)
After the competition was postponed due to the pandemic in December, it took place in March. Here, Julia Schmitt, Lotte-Lou Schneider, Maxim Frenkel, Martha Albrecht, Sarah Obieglo and Phoebe Wagner qualified. Maxim Frenkel came 4th in the combined events freestyle
70th Southern German Championships in Riesa and 28th Southern German Age Group Championships, 50-m pool in Dresden
Southern German runner-up was Nate Holmes in the 200-m medley, additionally he won bronze in the 200-m breaststroke and 100-m backstroke. Johanna Berger swam twice in the final and came 3rd in the 50-m butterfly

Our club house can no longer be used for overnight stays, the sleeping room will be permanently closed, instead a large overnight tent will be set up, so that the swimming weekends, summer camps and youth week can take place

After the Corona Pandemic, according to BSV, there were 60 % fewer entries than in previous years. The SCW reported the most participants, i.e., we are the club that best resumed after the forced break.

The Lake Crossing Swim and Summer Festival takes place with 190 participants and thus a new participant record. Over the 2.200m distance, Nate Holmes and Jakob Obieglo reached the wall at the same time, as well as Anna Obieglo and Anna Lena Maiberger. This resulted in four winners for the first time.
August
Masters European Aquatics Championships in Rome
Jörg Schwitalla (AK 60), Hans Reichelt (AK85), Anna Lena Maiberger (AK25) traveled to Rome. Lena became European Champion in 200m Freestyle and twice European Vice Champion in 200m Backstroke and 400m Freestyle. Hans became European Champion in 50m, 100m, and 200m Breaststroke and European Vice Champion in 3.000m Open Water Swimming.
