Before you can complete your membership, participation in a trial training is required!
The goal of the SC Wasserfreunde is to teach as many Münchners as possible to swim and to train and maintain swimming skills in all levels.
The first step towards this is our swimming courses to achieve the Seepferdchen. After that, children have the opportunity to switch to club training.
In club training, children train regularly 1-3 times per week in fixed groups, which are structured according to performance levels. From the structure according to performance levels, a structure according to age usually results as well.
Are you interested in participating in club training with us? Please contact the pool supervisor of your preferred pool. A prerequisite for participation in club training is membership in the association. You can complete your membership without being asked after at most three trial sessions. Furthermore, we would like the children to bring the skills of the Seepferdchen with them (jump into the water, swim 25 m, retrieve an object from shoulder-deep water). If your child does not yet have these skills – we recommend participation in one of our swimming courses. Please note that a swim cap is mandatory in all our pools.
The goal for club sports at SC Wasserfreunde München is to teach as many Münchner children as possible to swim. To achieve this ambitious goal, close cooperation with local politics, schools, and other Munich swimming clubs is necessary.
With this, the SC Wasserfreunde wants to convey fun in swimming sports and an understanding of the health benefits of swimming across generations in Munich.

Pool information
Flurbad is a school swimming pool in Haidhausen. A 25-metre pool with 5 lanes and a water depth of 0.8 to 1.80 metres is available for SCW training. The pool is close to Max-Weber-Platz and is easy to reach by underground lines U4 and U5. As a school pool, it is generally closed during Bavarian school holidays and on the Friday before the holidays begin.
